Poetry Challenge #23 ‘Beauty’

He stands before my closed lids
I smell his scent and blink
Radiant light glistens
Water droplets on his skin

His masculinity is distinct
Flowers blossom when he thinks
I am distracted by him
His mind’s deep river, I drink

His lips full up with insight
I hear his words and think
Trailing his long contours. . .
From his shoulders to his hips

He is perfect imperfection
Freckles on his body speak
To living in the sunshine
After having moments bleak

His gratitude is oozing
Great presence when he speaks
It’s his heart, his soul, his mindset
That make him beautiful – unique.

With love,
OnceUnchained
