Withering Goodbye

Blinded by your opening soliloquy,
I danced to the tune in step
while you gourmandized fantasies
devoured the fruits of my mind
until they ceased in winter.
Curling leaves turned down,
fell from my branches,
waving in the bone chilling flurry.
You just stared. Then turned away.
